Rodman Ride for Kids – Saturday, September 23, 2017

The Rodman Ride for Kids

Wildflower is proud to be an affiliated agency of the Rodman Ride for Kids. Along with 50 other nonprofit agencies that share a mission of helping under-served kids in greater Boston, we participate as Team Wildflower in the Rodman Ride every September. Rodman underwrites all expenses for this fundraiser and provides a 3% bonus to every organization that meets their fundraising goal. That means 103% of every dollar we raise goes directly to support our campers and their families.

The Rodman Ride is Wildflower’s most important—and most impactful—annual fundraising event. For more information, call Laura at 781 861-1413 or email

Wildflower’s First Official Camp Sponsorship: Behn Gives Back

Behn Basketball Camp

Wildflower is pleased to announce that Behn Basketball Camp has become Wildflower’s First Official Camp Sponsor. We recently received a call from Behn expressing their desire to “give back” to the community by providing support to the work of Wildflower. We were already familiar with Behn, thanks to their willingness to partner with us by offering generous tuition reductions to Wildflower campers attending their summer basketball programs.

As part of their sponsorship, Behn is the first camp to participate in our Sponsor-A- Camper program. This program is designed for donors interested in developing a benefactor relationship with a camper by making a strong commitment of ongoing support. Behn will sponsor a Wildflower camper each year to attend the camp of their choice. Their sponsorship means that a grieving child who might not otherwise be able to attend camp will be able to enjoy a summer filled with joy, connection to nature and sports, and new friends.

We are so grateful to Behn for giving back in a way that speaks to their passion for basketball and camp, while supporting Wildflower’s important mission. Together Wildflower and Behn will be able to extend Wildflower services to more children who have lost a parent. We applaud them for embarking on this initiative and setting an example for other camp programs.

About Behn Basketball Camp

Behn Basketball Camp was founded by Massachusetts basketball legend Sarah Behn in 1994. There have been over 27,000 successful graduates since Sarah started her first 2-week camp programs.  For 23 years, Behn has been teaching fundamental skills through high-quality coaching in a fun camp setting. Their philosophy is to instill confidence in young players by teaching basketball fundamentals, which in turn raises their level of play and makes the game more fun to play.
